SCARPE VEGAN: LO STILE CHE VA DI MODA

VEGAN FOOTWEAR: A TRENDY STYLE

Consumers are becoming more and more aware of how their choices and habits can affect the planet, which is why many of them choose to wear sustainable, certified clothing and shoes that are produced respecting the environment.
Buying vegan shoes means supporting a low environmental impact production, protecting animals and workers and respecting the planet. A promising figure shows that Millennials and Generation Z consumers are actively searching for sustainable and cruelty free fashion.
All RE49 shoes are sustainable, carbon neutral and vegan. They are made in a circular economy with recovered, regenerated materials: we use beach umbrellas, beach chairs, sails and fabric scraps that would otherwise end up in landfills or in nature.

WHAT IS A VEGAN SHOE?

Vegan shoes are sustainable and produced with materials that are not of animal origin. Their label should certify that materials are vegan and their production has a low environmental impact. Read labels carefully!
To protect consumers, specific quality assurance certifications have been introduced to guarantee that shoes are 100% vegan and 100% cruelty free. Labels should be read carefully, since they often refer only to 80% of used materials. That missing 20% is actually very important! Buying products made of synthetic fabrics or non-certified vegetable fabrics does not mean wearing vegan clothing.
Most non-certified, low cost shoes made of eco-leather, synthetic fabrics or cotton that can be found on the market hide the risk of toxic substances that can harm our health and pollute the environment. A harming, polluting product, by definition, can’t be considered cruelty free.

Avoiding products of animal origins is of utmost importance, always bearing in mind that “vegan” means also that the shoes we buy must be produced with zero impact on the environment. So, no more leather, wool or silk, but also no more dye or glue of animal origin! RE49 shoes are 100% cruelty free, PETA - approved vegan and traceable through the Blockchain technology.

WHAT DOES PETA - APPROVED VEGAN MEAN?

RE49 shoes received the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)-approved vegan certification, because they are not made of materials of animal origin or tested on animals.
PETA is an international non-profit charitable organisation dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals, verifying the origin of products and spreading information to consumers. Together with the Animal Free Fashion (LAV) certification, it is among the most important certifications at a global level.

The choice to wear vegan shoes is an act of love towards our children and our planet Earth. Buying RE49 means wearing a real cruelty free and sustainable product: everything we do today is for the children of tomorrow.
